Christmas in Hongdae!

Today is my first Christmas away from home! Even though it seems a little sad to not spend Christmas at home, it's still pretty cool that I'm spending it in South Korea. Last night for Christmas Eve, I went Christmas shopping with Francisco and Raye, and then I went all the way to Hongdae to smoke hookah and go bowling with Johnny, Johannes, and Joseph. It was definitely a unique Christmas experience to say it mildly.

This morning I was so impressed with myself though! I made it all the way from Yeokgok to Gileum by myself! That involved two taxis and an hour long subway ride. Not to mention that I had no wifi and hadn't eaten in the last 8 or so hours. But I didn't get lost once and I found my way all the way back to Raye's apartment.

Today I will spend Christmas in Hongdae at Kimchi Guesthouse. The Kimchi Guesthouses are my favorite in Korea. I've stayed in the Gangnam house as well as the Hongdae house, and I've been perfectly satisfied each time. If you're in Korea, www.kimcheeguesthouse.com is a good place to go for a cheap but very nice hostel! Here I'll be relaxing and enjoying my time with Jen and Johannes before I have to go all the way back to Soon Chun Hyang for moving all of my shit.

Merry Christmas!
